Crackling Sound is made by a small team. Everyone here listens to records at home, and every review is written by a person who has used the product.
The team
Bruno Brozovic – Lead reviewer
Bruno is an audio enthusiast and self-builder from Croatia who has been listening to vinyl since childhood. He tests turntables, cartridges, phono stages, speakers and headphones, and builds his own cables and audio projects. Most of the reviews on this site are his.
Stefan Sanetrik – Editor
Stefan edits the site: he plans topics, checks articles before publication, keeps guides up to date and looks after the structure of the site.
How an article is made
- Choose – we pick products readers ask about or that are important in their category.
- Live with it – we set the product up and use it in a normal listening room, comparing it with gear we know.
- Write – we describe build, setup, sound and value, and list clear pros and cons.
- Check – an editor reviews specifications, links and claims before publishing.
- Update – we revisit articles when products change or better alternatives appear.
Sources we trust
Specifications come from manufacturers’ official documentation and manuals. Technical explanations are based on established audio engineering principles. Our own listening impressions are always labelled as opinion.
